
If I had to find a single word to describe Edgar, this word would be dynamic. I never found a designer more active than him. He is very prolific and usually is envolved with many projects.

I met Edgar some months ago, while I was searching for typography references.And I have found that he shares the same passion I do for type. Since then, we have been exchanging several info about typographic world. Someday, Edgar sent me some roughs about a new typeface he was designing. The name was a little bit strange, but we know that strange things is the place where vanguard arises. Not only the name was strange but also the overall shape of type. It is impossible to look at Techy Fat and don´t have a curiosity feeling. This type is unique, provoking and, believe me, sensual.
And I can say that everything Edgar does, shares those same qualities. His point of view is very interesting, he always open new doors to new meanings. His use of computer vectors is amazing. He plays very well with dark silhouetes and attractive backgrounds.
But, much more important than design skills, Edgar play an important social role, matching design world with real world issues. His Electrofilia project combine several important factors, to achieve success. Edgar shows that today, more than ever, design is not enough. We need to face real world challenges, and use design like a brush, a tool, not a final painting. The capacity to detect opportunities for design a better world is much more important than design itself. Without this ability, design would be an empty package. But Edgar knows how to fill it with wisdom and dynamic energy. Yes, Edgar is really dynamic.
